Outcomes Research

The Outcomes Research Group provides timely, relevant, and objective research to help improve pharmacy benefit management. Findings are used by Express Scripts and its clients, as well as policymakers, the health care community, and the general public.

Study results assist plan sponsors in creating formularies and making other drug coverage decisions. Clients can anticipate how various benefit design options will impact drug costs, medical utilization, and member satisfaction. In addition, research findings can be used to enhance current clinical programs and to identify opportunities for new and innovative programs.
